Symphony in the Flint Hills, Inc. has been designated a 50lc(3) non-profit organization under the Internal Revenue Service regulations. Dozens of volunteers, including our 11 member Board of Directors, are working tirelessly to produce this series of concerts. The only paid staff members are Event Coordinator, Office Manager and Bookkeeper.

Ticket sales cover approximately 36% of costs. The concert and prairie education activities are being underwritten by generous gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations.

Any proceeds over and above the expenses of the 2008 concert will be used by Symphony in the Flint Hills, Inc. as “seed” money for the Fourth Annual Concert in 2009.
