Symphony in the Flint Hills, Inc. is a designated a 50l(c)3 non-profit organization under the Internal Revenue Service regulations.
Ticket sales to our Seventh Annual Event, which will be held on June 9, 2012, will cover approximately 48% of the event’s overall costs. Hundreds of volunteers, including our 17 member Board of Directors, work tirelessly planning this series of concerts. The paid staff includes: Executive Director, Emily Hunter Connell; Office Manager, Kelly Tastove; Bookkeeper, Rita Spinden; Merchandise/Art Manager, Louise Carlin; Volunteer Support/Administrative Assistant, Sandy Dorsey; and Event Coordinator, Brandon Cole.
Any proceeds exceeding the expenses of the Seventh Annual Event will be used by Symphony in the Flint Hills, Inc. as “seed” money for the Eighth Annual Concert expected to be held in June 2013.
