Through year-round programming, Symphony in the Flint Hills, Inc. works to deepen 
the understanding of the ecological and cultural significance of the Kansas Flint Hills.

 






WoodFest is a music-based weekend gathering sponsored by Symphony in the Flint Hills, Inc. and Camp Wood YMCA. Participants of all ages and abilities can sign-up for WoodFest Workshops taught by nationally-known musicians. Outside in the Flint Hills that surround camp, families can experience WoodFest Wild through nature walks, horseback riding and art classes. For the grand finale, WoodFest moves to the hilltop amphitheater for the WoodFest Sunset Concert.

An experience-based learning project offered by the Elliott School of Communication at Wichita State University -- the Flint Hills Media Project has partnered with Symphony in the Flint Hills to create a student- and faculty-produced magazine that chronicles the concert and day's events that tell the stories of the unique location sites.
